The Pulsar X2V2 is one of the clearest value plays in the current mouse field. A 53 g medium symmetrical shell, a flawless PAW3395 sensor, and a shape a wide range of hands get along with — for $99.95, comfortably under the wireless flagships. It does the unglamorous thing of being excellent and affordable at once.

A safe, versatile shape

At 125.7 x 64.3 x 38.0 mm the X2V2 is a true medium that handles palm, claw and fingertip grips on medium hands. It doesn't chase a niche; it's the kind of neutral shell people keep coming back to because it rarely fights the hand. That breadth explains why it gets recommended so often.

The 4K cap is a non-issue

The X2V2 tops out at 4000 Hz where some rivals reach 8000. It makes no practical difference: 1000 Hz is the floor, 2000 Hz the sweet spot, and the jump from 4K to 8K removes a fraction of a millisecond your reaction time never registers. Don't let the smaller number talk you out of a mouse that clears the floor completely and saves you real money.
