Razer took the Viper V3 Pro — already the most-used mouse on competitive Valorant and CS2 desks — and tightened every number. The V4 Pro drops to 49 g from 54 g, keeps the large 127.1 x 63.9 x 39.9 mm ambidextrous shell, and roughly doubles rated battery to 180 hours. That combination of size, weight and endurance is genuinely hard to find anywhere else.

What the shape gives you

This is a big, planted mouse that suits palm, claw and fingertip grips on medium-to-large hands. The extra length fills a hand that the small featherweights leave grasping, and at 49 g it no longer asks you to trade comfort for weight. If you flick and you have the hand for it, the shape disappears under fast aim — which is the whole reason the Viper line sits on so many pro setups.

The sensor and polling honesty

Razer markets the Focus Pro 50K over the V3 Pro's Focus Pro 35K, but both are flawless. Their tracking ceilings sit far past anything a human hand produces, so two flawless sensors tie in practice. The 8000 Hz polling tells the same story: 1000 Hz is the floor and 2000 Hz the sweet spot, and past that you shave fractions of a millisecond that your ~200 ms reaction time swallows whole.

Cross-shopping the Viper V3 Pro? The V4 Pro is lighter with longer battery, but the V3 Pro costs less and feels identical in the hand — pick on price, not on the sensor number. Smaller hands should check the mouse-by-hand-size ranker before committing to this large a shell.
